Pokataroobie of Sixteen Cedars
(Music Creek's Truth Be Known x Pokataroo Blue of County Farm)

July 17, 1992 -- September 20, 2006

Roobie was my first Aussie, my introduction to the Australian Shepherd breed.  She was Charlie's older half-sister.  Due to a heart condition and car-sickness which Roobie never outgrew, I never tried doing any competition with her.  She had the sweetest disposition of any of my Aussies and was a joy to live with for over 14 years.  Roobie was the only dog who recognized and enjoyed watching any dogs she saw on TV, sometimes barking at them.

Roobie loved tummy rubs and would frequently lie on her back just waiting for a good rub.  She would always rest her head on my leg as I sat at the computer and she recognized dog pictures on the computer.  She helped me several times to select puppies when I was on a breeder's waiting list!

"When I'm gone, release me, let me go. . .
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears.
You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. . .
Grieve for me a while, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust. . .
And then when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a lick and a bark,
'Welcome Home'. "
